Data Deletion Instructions – AutoSkin NYC

You can ask AutoSkin NYC to delete the personal information we have about you at any time, including information from Instagram and Facebook Messenger conversations with our AI-assisted chat assistant.

How to request deletion

Option 1 – Email (recommended)

1. Send an email to info@autoskinnyc.com.
2. Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request
3. Include:
   • Your full name
   • The phone number and/or email you used with us
   • Your Instagram username or Facebook name, if you messaged us there
   • (Optional) What you want deleted, if not everything

Option 2 – Phone
Call (718) 569-7574, Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–7 PM (closed Sunday), and tell us you’d like your data deleted.

We may ask you to confirm your identity so we don’t delete someone else’s information by mistake.

What we delete

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Vehicle details you shared with us
• Messages and photos from Instagram, Facebook Messenger, email and text
• Message data held by our AI chat service provider on our behalf
• Your customer profile and booking history in Square, and your contact from our marketing lists

What we may need to keep: Some records must be kept by law or for legitimate business reasons — for example, payment and tax records, invoices, and active warranty records for ceramic coating or PPF work. We’ll keep only what’s required, for only as long as required, and tell you what we kept and why. Square may also keep payment records as required by its own legal obligations.

Information held by Meta: Deleting your data from our systems does not delete your messages from your own Instagram or Facebook account. You can delete conversations in the app yourself.

Timeline

• We’ll confirm we received your request within 5 business days.
• We’ll complete the deletion within 30 days and let you know when it’s done.
• Backup copies are removed automatically on their normal schedule.

Remove our access in Facebook and Instagram

You can also stop sharing information with our business and any connected apps through Meta’s settings.

Facebook

1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
2. Tap Apps and websites (you may find it under Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Apps and websites).
3. Find AutoSkin NYC (or our connected app) and tap Remove.
4. Check the box to delete activity the app may have posted, if offered, and confirm.

Instagram

1. Open Instagram and go to your profile → menu (☰) → Settings and activity.
2. Tap Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Apps and websites (on some versions: Website permissions → Apps and websites).
3. Find AutoSkin NYC (or our connected app) under Active and tap Remove.

Stop messages from us: In Instagram or Messenger, open the chat with AutoSkin NYC and choose Block or Delete chat, or just reply “stop.”

Note: Menu names in Facebook and Instagram change from time to time. If you can’t find these options, search “Apps and websites” in the app’s settings, or contact us and we’ll help.
